Weekend Fun

We decided to go to Open Mic night at our favorite local coffee shop, Sumatra Coffee. They are open to just about anyone coming in and showing off their talent 1 day out of each month. There was a local guy that plays steel guitar (Roy Ayres), a couple that performed a cool dance for us, a guitar player named Dylan, a nice guy who played the electric guitar while singing, a lady who played piano while singing in Italian - she was the mother of the co-owners of the shop, and two guys that played some awesome piano - Joab and Dennis

Here are some pictures of the artists!

Dennis played once for, pretty much, Joanne, Jordan and me when we showed up for Piano night at the cofee shop. The original piano player didn't show up so Dennis played a few tunes for us. He has some amazing talent.

Dylan recently moved to the area with his wife, Marie, and is involved with the music ministry in a local church. He played some great guitar!

This is Roy Ayres - he was recently inducted into the International Steel Guitar players Hall of Fame! He is a regular at the coffee shop. Him and his wife are there EVERYTIME we go!

Joanne just hanging out watching a video on YouTube.. Comment if you can tell which video she is watching.

All in all it was a pretty fun night. We met some great people and were highly entertained! We are looking forward to the next Open Mic night, maybe someone could come visit us that would be brave enough to show off some of their talants!??

Joanne, why can't you just **leave Britney alone!?**

Thanks for updating your "glob" (Belldar speak for "blog" evidently). Everyone I talk to - random people on the streets and in coffee shops - tell me how much your updates mean to them. Rachel can't wait to visit you in less than 2 weeks. I hope I can come too!
